Why this weight loss program?

Sceptical, I searched for information on Dr. A. T. W. Simeon's work. What I found was a study on a 'New Approach to Obesity".  For the first time, I read something that caused an 'ah ha' moment and gave me hope.

I had given up. Surrendered to the inevitable effects of aging.  in the last... at least 3 yrs.,  nothing I did worked.  Previously, if I gained a few pounds, I could  manage it.  Just cut out the junk food for a few days and voila. Cut down on sugar replaced it with Splenda.  Exercise; As a New Yorker walking about is a way of life.

Long ago, I had read that fat cells always stay with you.  Dieting merely shrinks the cells like a balloon that has been deflated.  Ugh.  So why bother getting into this constant battle to loss wt..  Health.  I wasn't obese.  Size 14.  Something I had never seen before.  Size 16 was not welcomed and to be avoided.  Hope,  prayers  and sheer will power, kept me in line...a bit. I was shocked when I overheard my son saying "she always maintained her weight at 120, 125."   "Really?" I thought.  Yes.  What happened?
